Students in the Adult Cosmetology program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) have been preparing for their annual “It’s So Much More Than Hair” benefit. Each year Debbie Gmerek, CCCTC Adult Cosmetology Instructor, has the students organize the benefit to raise money for someone in need and to also raise awareness for Alopecia.  This year the students are donating all proceeds to Elijah Amato who is battling an Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor in his brain.   The event will feature free wigs for anyone with hair loss, nail art, food and craft vendors, a huge Chinese auction with many themed baskets, and  three grand prize giveaways that include: Two tickets to Sights and Sound Theater in Lancaster, a free fly fishing lesson from Feather Creation, and two all day passes to DelGrosso’s Amusement & Waterpark. The event is open to the public and will be held on April 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center, 1620 River Road.
