The adult students in the Cosmetology program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center are learning about advanced skincare. The students had the opportunity to practice with the new Galvanich High Frequency skincare system. Students not only learn about hair and nail care, but also about taking care of your skin and how to facials. Debbie Gmerek, CCCTC Cosmetology Instructor, showed the students how the different tools on the machine work and explained how the high frequency stimulates circulation of the blood, increases glandular activity, germicidal action, generates heat inside the tissue and aids in deeper penetration of poducts into the skin, which all help with the treatment of acne.
