CCCTC Cosmetology Students Learning Nail Technician Skills

Cosmetology students at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) not only train to become hairstylists, but they are also learning the art of being a nail technician.  Students in the Cosmetology program are trained in many areas of the cosmetology program such as manicures, pedicures, artistry of nail design, importance of safety, sterilization, and sanitation. CCCTC Cosmetology student Paige Davis from Moshannon Valley Area High School is shown designing nail art on CCCCTC Cosmetology Student, Katelenn McBride, Moshannon Valley Area High School. Students and faculty at CCCTC will join others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate “National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month.”  CTE Month provides programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE makes students college-and career-ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand occupation fields.
