Every week the students in the Culinary Arts and Food Management program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) prepare a menu for the upcoming week for the CCCTC’S Culinary Cafe. Students plan menus, order supplies, prep food, and get the Cafe ready for customers each day it’s open. The students are learning more than just culinary skills. They learn how to work as a team, be efficient, creative, and confident. Each week the menu has a theme. This week is fast food week and today the students made Burger King’s famous flame broiled whoppers with curly fries and onion rings. Students use the skills they are learning to go straight into the workforce, or to further their culinary skills in college. The Cafe is open Tuesday-Friday from 11:30-1:00.
