The Digital Media Arts program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently wrapped up their first annual Postcards of Clearfield County project. The months-long project started in the fall with students in both the AM and PM sessions taking pictures in various areas of Clearfield, including Elliot’s Park, the Riverwalk, and downtown Clearfield. Students chose their favorite picture to edit and created a postcard using Photoshop. At the fall Open House, parents, other students, and faculty/staff voted for their favorite designs. The seven most popular designs were made into actual postcards and they are now available for purchase at the Clearfield County CTC office, Revived & Company located in the old Plymptonville schoolhouse, and Service Access & Management at 216 N 2nd St #3 in Clearfield. Packs of all seven designs are available for $5; individual postcards are $1 each. Proceeds from the project will go to the Digital Media Arts student activity fund and help offset the cost of Adobe certifications for the students.
