NURSING GRADUATES: The 77th class of the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center’s (CCCTC) Practical Nursing Program graduated thirty-two students on July 25, 2017. Elizabeth Frankhouser, CCCTC Executive Director, welcomed the audience to the event. James McDonald, nursing student, introduced the Commencement speaker: Lori Jamison, RN, NHA, Executive Director at DuBois Nursing Home. Academic awards were presented by Cheryl Krieg, Nursing Program Director, to the three students with the highest grade point averages in the class: Caroline Stevens, Lynn Moore and April Gardner. Certificates of perfect attendance were awarded to Josie Eamigh and Samantha Yarger. Three graduates were recognized as members of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): Lynn Moore, Amber Shephard and Caroline Stevens. April Gardner, nursing student presented donations from the graduating class to the families of Allison Colna and Brody Lanich. Diplomas were awarded by Dr. Gregg Paladina, Superintendent of Record and Elizabeth Frankhouser. Graduates were presented for graduation by Tonya Saggese, Nursing Instructor and nursing pins were awarded by Alene Homan, Nursing Instructor. Barbara Smith, Nursing Instructor, led the graduates in reciting the Practical Nursing Pledge. Sara McClafferty and Brittany Rougeux, nursing students, provided the farewell address.
