CCCTC Graduates 78th Practical Nursing Class

NURSING GRADUATES: The 78th class of the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center’s (CCCTC) Practical Nursing Program graduated twenty-five students on July 20, 2018. Cheryl Krieg, Nursing Program Director, welcomed the audience to the event. Cassandra Kawa, nursing student, introduced the Commencement speaker: Alene Homan, M.Ed, RN, Practical Nursing Instructor. Academic awards were presented by Cheryl Krieg, Nursing Program Director, to the three students with the highest grade point averages in the class Kara Soltys, Cassandra Kawa and Parker Wickett. Certificates of perfect attendance were awarded to Jordyn McFadden, Lance Owens, Erica Stiles. Three graduates were recognized as members of the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS): Sara Hummel, Kara Soltys and Alana Stauffer. Diplomas were awarded by Michelle Dutrow, Superintendent of Record and Cheryl Krieg. Graduates were presented for graduation by Tonya Saggese, Nursing Instructor and nursing pins were awarded by Patricia McKnight, Nursing Instructor. Barbara Smith, Nursing Instructor, led the graduates in reciting the Practical Nursing Pledge. Kara Soltys, nursing student, provided the farewell address. The nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. and Pennsylvania Department of Education and approved by the PA State Board of Nursing.
