CCCTC Partners with Saint Francis University to Offer College Credits

The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center is pleased to announce they have partnered with Saint Francis University to offer college credits towards earning an Associate of Applied Sciences Degree.  In August 2017, the Joint Operating Committee approved the articulation agreement between CCCTC and Saint Francis University.  The agreement states that any student who successfully completes his or her programming at CCCTC will be awarded 27 college credits at Saint Francis at no cost.  Students will then be able to complete the remaining 36 credits needed for the degree through the Saint Francis University’s Adult Degree & Continuing Studies program towards one of three Associate Degrees: Associate of Applied Science in Engineering/Mechanical Technology; Associate of Applied Science in Human Resource/Computer Technology; or Associate of Applied Science in Health Professions Technology.  Saint Francis also accepts dual enrollment credits and NOCTI College Credits as transferrable credits towards the 36 credits needed.  Nicole Bopp, Adult Degree Specialist, from Saint Francis University recently visited CCCTC and met with students to explain this incredible opportunity.  Ms. Bopp explained that students can complete the additional 36 credits online, in the evening, or on campus.  The pursuit of the Associate of Applied Science degree takes into account that students may want to work in their technical field after graduation while at the same time continuing their education at the college level.  Ms. Bopp also explained that past graduates of CCCTC qualify for these college credits.  Jessica McKendrick, Student Services Coordinator at CCCTC, wants parents, the community, and current and former students to be aware of this incredible opportunity to earn 27 college credits at no cost.   If any current or former CCCTC students would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact Jessica McKendrick, CCCTC Student Services Coordinator at (814)765-5308 or by emailing collegecredits@142.93.177.74 or Nicole Bopp at (814) 472-3012.
