The students in Mr. Reece Matthew’s Diesel Equipment Maintenance & Repair program at the Clearfield County Career & technology Center (CCCTC) recently attended a clinic by Stemco. Mr. Dave Blitz, Stemco Representative, talked to the CCCTC students about wheel ends on heavy trucks. He went through each step to show how to remove, clean and inspect wheel bearings and hubs. He also talked about replacing wheel seals and why they fail. Another topic he covered was installing the wheel end and proper torque procedures used to ensure proper operation and reducing wheel bearing failures. The clinic was put together by Cumberland Truck Parts sales manager, Rod Foster and Sales Representative, Chaz Leyo.
