CCCTC Students Take Second in SkillsUSA State Competition

Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) students Tierra Miller, a Cosmetology student from Philipsburg Osceola High School; Hanna Switala, a Cosmetology student from Moshannon Valley Area High School; and Reese Wells, a Information Technology student from Curwensville Area High School, recently competed in the SkillsUSA state competition held in Hershey, PA. The community service group designed a community service project by creating a Canine 5K to raise money for the Clearfield County SPCA. The event was held on Saturday, April 6 at the Clearfield County Fair Grounds. SkillsUSA improves the quality of America’s skilled workforce through a structured program of citizenship, leadership, employability, technical and professional skills training.  SkillsUSA enhances the lives and careers of students, instructors and industry representatives as they strive to be champions at work.
