CCCTC Welding & Metal Fabrication Students Training With Torch Welding

Students in the Welding and Metal Fabrication program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) are learning to weld with a torch. Torch welding generates heat energy by burning a combination of acetylene gas and oxygen.  In photo is CCCTC non-traditional welding student, Marina Garrison, from Curwensville Area High School. Students and faculty at CCCTC will join others across the nation during the month of February to celebrate “National Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month.”  CTE Month provides programs across the country an opportunity to demonstrate how CTE makes students college-and career-ready and prepares them for high-wage, high-demand occupation fields.
