Nathan said, ” I am passionate about this trade, everyday is a new challenge.  It makes me feel good to help someone and see the smile on their face once they have heat”.  Scott Good, the owner of Goodco Mechanical also spoke to the class. He explained to the class that he does the business part of the company. He knows how to find good people.  He said that the wages in this field are high and they need good workers to fill the position. He looks for more than just someone with the skills but also what will differentiate someone from the others and that is: attitude, work ethic, and willing to learn. He told the class that he has a passion for the trade and that they are doing the right thing by learning a trade, baby boomers are retiring and there is nobody to take those spots. Mr. Good said, ” There is a need for trades, PA is 25,000 HVAC/R technicians short, they are in high demand”. To learn more about the HVAC/R program visit us at www.ccctc.edu or call 814-765-5308.
