AS A LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE, you’ll receive and coordinate calls regarding acute patient transfers, consults, and/or admissions from medical facilities. The LPN utilizes patient logistics software to coordinate patient flow and bed placement. The LPN speaks directly to the referring and receiving providers/staff to coordinate patient care. When not managing calls, the patient transfer center LPN participates in the care of Emergency Department patients. Clinical responsibilities to include (but not limited to) the transport of monitored and non-monitored patients to inpatient units and diagnostic areas, obtaining patient’s vital signs, EKGs, IV initiation, phlebotomy, and assisting physicians with beside procedures.

Have a current Pennsylvania Practical Nurse License or Temporary Practice Permit
Dysrhythmia course within 1 year of start date in position
Have ability to work flexible hours including shift, weekends, holidays, etc.
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Have good communication skills
