CCCTC’s SkillsUSA Community Service Team Helping Foster Care Children

  The students at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center’s SkillsUSA Community Service Team held an assembly to talk to the students about their upcoming project. Students that are in SkillsUSA are required to do something for the community as part of the competition they enter into. CCCTC Adult Cosmetology Students Learn Paul Mitchell Advanced Color Techniques

Suzi Ligo , National educator for Paul Mitchell, did an advanced color class for the Adult Cosmetology class at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center. The students learned advanced color techniques and were trained on the newest line of Paul Mitchell color. The students will be using their new techniques on the clinic floor. CCCTC Students Attend Largest Pennsylvania DECA Conference Clearfield, PA — Six members of Clearfield County Career and Technology Center DECA participated in the 66th Annual State Career Development Conference at the Hershey Lodge on February 26 – 28, the largest state conference in PA DECA history. Matt Willis is CCCTC’s Graduate Of The Month

  CCCTC graduate of the month Matt Willis attended the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) during the 2015-16 school year. He was enrolled in the Collision Repair program. While enrolled at CCCTC Matt earned his PA state inspection license, ICAR, ASE, NOCTI and OSHA certifications. During his time at CCCTC Matt said that there was not just one thing that he learned to help prepare him for the workforce, but many things. CCCTC SkillsUSA holds fundraiser for Brody Lanich

The students in the SkillsUSA program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) held a spirit week and fundraiser to benefit Brody Lanich. Brody was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma that has spread to his bone marrow and lymph nodes. The SkillsUSA students at CCCTC held a spirit week and ended the week with a game day/ninja turtle themed dance and sold pizza, drinks, and raffled off a chance to give a staff member a “whip cream hat”. In honor of Brody’s love for the ninja turtles, the faculty, staff, and students dressed up like ninja turtles.

CCCTC Information Technology Student, Matthew Gosnell, Helps PA Democratic Party With Website

Matthew Gosnell, a current Information Technology student at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC),  is currently helping to maintain the PA Democratic website at www.padems.com/county/clearfield-county/.  Matthew has a lot of self-taught skills but says he has learned a lot of his skills from the Information Technology program at CCCTC. The Information Technology program is a two-year program for high school students or 9 month program for adults that prepares students for jobs in computer maintenance and programming.
