A career-opportunity in cosmetology has endless benefits. You can do anything from working in a salon to owning your own day spa!  This full time, daytime course prepares you for the PA State Board of Cosmetology exam. Topics included in this course include but are not limited to Spa Treatment,  Color Analysis, Advance Skin Care, Hair cutting,, Permanent Waving, Hair Coloring and Highlighting, Manicures and Pedicures, Scalp Treatments, Hair Straightening, Facials, Safety, and Sanitation and Disinfection.

The Adult Cosmetology course at CCCTC is a 9 month, 1250 hour course of study. Classes are Monday–Friday from 8:00 am-3:30 pm for 180 days. Students learn all aspects of Cosmetology including, but not limited to:

  • Advanced Hair Cutting
  • Chemical Texturizing
  • Advanced Hair Coloring
  • Hair Extensions
  • Spa Manicures & Pedicures
  • Nail Enhancements
  • Advanced Skin Care
  • State Board Preparation
  • Clinical Training
  • Hairshow Participation

Salary Information:

There is “Zero unemployment” in the industry. Average salon income including tips averages about $18.50 per hour. Salon owners averaged $22.03 per hour. Salaries earned are based on experience, abilities, quality of work, enthusiasm, and personality.
