The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) recently hosted the Pennsylvania Department of Education’s (PDE) Superintendent Academy. The academy is a two-year professional development program created for school leaders across the state. PDE partnered with the National Institute for School Leadership to offer the program, which offers leaders the opportunity to engage in collaborative, research-based, executive-level professional development. Upon successful completion of the program, participants receive Act 45 PIL Program hours. Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr., chairman of the Senate Education Committee, attended the Academy to meet with the Superintendents across the area to discuss their concerns on issues related to Pennsylvania’s education system, including school safety, funding and improving post-secondary opportunities for students.
