Every year the students at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) prepare to take their NOCTI (National Occupational Competency Testing Institute) Test. The Nocti is a battery of assessments or standardized tests for students studying career and technical programs. It is a requirement for all 12th grade Career and Technical Education (CTE) students in approved CTE programs to prove a mastery of specific competencies outlined by the Bureau of Career and Technical Education. One of the skills that is required is the building of a set of small steps. Shown in photo is Brett Sherkel, a Moshannon Valley student that attends the CCCTC, and a set of the steps that was built as a practice test for the upcoming NOCTI. The decorative steps can be used for many different things such as a planter display or helping pets get up to higher spots. The students will continue to prepare for the upcoming NOTCI in all the programs. To learn more about the programs at the CCCTC visit us at www.ccctc.edu.
