High School

The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center is committed to preparing young adolescent students with the skills necessary to be successful in the workforce and/or in future education at a technical school or college. The technology and skills needed to be successful in the workforce are constantly changing, as does the technology and curriculum found in the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center.

All the high school programs are two-year courses that start in the student’s junior year, except cosmetology, which is a three-year program and starts in the student’s sophomore year. Students tour the CCCTC and apply in their ninth and tenth grade years.

High School Student Admission

The best way for a high school student to obtain entry into the CCCTC is to contact your school guidance counselor. If you still have questions about the CCCTC that your guidance counselor cannot answer, then contact our guidance counselor directly at 814-765-5308 or jmckendrick@ccctc.edu. If you have program specific questions, you may email the instructor directly by clicking here for the instructor’s email. Also remember that sending schools have scheduled visits to the Career Center at various times during the year, and we encourage you to come and visit us. If you have missed the tour and would still like to visit the school, please contact Holly Ryan at 814-768-4603 or hryan@ccctc.edu.

School Closings and Delays

When the Career Center is closed or delayed due to weather conditions or emergencies, announcements will be made over local radio and television stations, such as WTAJ-TV10, WJAC-TV6, Froggy 98, WCPA, and WPHB. Parents will also receive a call from the student alert system. Students arrive two hours later than their normal time and the AM session is extended until 11:30, PM session proceeds as normal. Note: Some sending schools may decide not to transport students to CCCTC depending on weather.
