The Information Technology program prepares students for an entry level position in the Information Technology field or continuing education at a post-secondary institution. Students will learn IT Concepts and Terminology, IT Infrastructure, Applications and Software, Security, Mobile Devices, Networking, Computer Hardware, Virtualization and Cloud Computing, Troubleshooting, Operating Systems, and Operational Procedures. The program takes a broad-spectrum approach to teaching the Information Technology field.

The IT program prepares students for the TestOut IT Fundamentals, CompTIA IT Fundamentals, TestOut PC Pro, CompTIA A+ certifications with additional opportunity to prepare for TestOut Network Pro, TestOut Security Pro, CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ should time allow.

This course is taught with hands-on training and theory. Students must be able to work independently, using verbal and textbook instruction.  Required skills for IT are:
