About CCCTC
The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC), located at 1620 River Road, just off Interstate 80 in Central Pennsylvania, is a technical educational institution founded in 1968 to meet the needs of the community and five secondary sending schools in Clearfield County. The county’s population, according to the 2021 census statistics, is over 80,000 people. The Joint Operating Committee, consisting of one member from each of the five sending schools, is the governing body of the Center.
The mission of the CCCTC is to provide quality career-technical education programs and services that prepare youth and adults for success in the workplace, postsecondary, and community, now and in the future. As our enrollment keeps climbing, we are proud to state that approximately 500 secondary students are currently served in fourteen programs; over 100 adults enroll annually in over 20 daytime and evening adult courses and programs.
The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center has classrooms that support teacher-led classroom instruction as well as fully-equipped shops to establish hands-on learning by quality, well-trained, certified instructors in the following Pennsylvania Department of Education programs for secondary and adult students: Automotive Mechanics; Carpentry and Building Construction; Collision Repair; Culinary Arts and Food Management; Diesel Equipment Maintenance and Repair; Digital Media Arts; Drafting and Design; Electrical Occupations; Health Occupations Technology; Information Technology; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration; Masonry Construction; and Welding and Metal Fabrication. There are additional programs specifically for adults in Truck Driver Training and Practical Nursing. Short-term, adult evening classes are offered in the fall and spring and cover topics such as PA State Inspection and ServeSafe certification. Classes vary depending on need and availability of staff.
