The CCCTC was Well-Represented at the Integrated Learning Conference Held at the Penn Stater

Lauren Hopkins, DMA instructor, presented information on how teachers can use the Canvas Learning Management System to more thoroughly track students’ proficiency and growth on the tasks in their program of study. They can also see how individual assignments directly impact each task. Tiffany Cover, Principal/Assistant Director, assisted by acknowledging the administrative side of this project. Discussion included how it tied into Lauren’s evaluation and how the project came to fruition.
Tiffany Cover, Principal/Assistant Director, and MaryAnn Volders, Director at CPI, presented on why and how they began the Authentic Collaboration Training (ACT) sessions that take place among five CTEs. During the ACT sessions, teachers collaborate with one another from other schools by walking through their programs, discussing specific topics teachers identified as a need for them, and learning/employing various new skills and ideas for their classrooms.
Jody Gunter, Health Occupations instructor, presented on classroom management. Included was discussion on positive student-teacher relationships, developing a learner-centered environment, and handling conflict.
