Students in Jody Gunter's Health Occupations Technology class spent Friday the 13th discovering scenes at the CCCTC. Once discovered , A.M. students learned about staying safe and calm in emergencies along with using safe body movement, keeping the area safe and clean from hazards, and following the rules for fires, chemical spills, and disasters to stay protected. P.M. students learned how hearts and muscles work together and what happens when your body is tired, like the build-up of lactic acid. They also learned how our body knows where it is and keeps us from falling, called proprioception, and how our joints help absorb shock and keep us stable on rough ground. The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center is proud of the diverse and hands-on learning experiences our students embrace, which prepare them for success beyond the classroom.
