The Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) is excited and proud to welcome Melissa Mowrey as our new Executive Director. We are thrilled to have her leadership, vision, and dedication guiding our team as we continue to provide exceptional career and technical education opportunities for our students and community.
Melissa Mowrey has dedicated the past 20 years to working in public education, with a focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE). Her career began shortly after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), when she accepted her first teaching position at DuBois Business College (DBC). After nearly two years at DBC, she joined CCCTC in 2004 as an instructor in the Management Information Systems program.
In 2013, Melissa transitioned to an administrative role at Jeff Tech, first serving as Vocational Supervisor before being promoted to Principal in 2014. Jeff Tech, located in Reynoldsville, PA, is a comprehensive career school serving several districts, including Brookville, Brockway, Punxsutawney, DuBois, St. Mary’s, Ridgway, and Johnsonburg.
Melissa fondly recalls her time at CCCTC, especially the collaborative and supportive environment fostered among staff. Melissa says, "I am committed to continuing that tradition as an administrator, working closely with all stakeholders to ensure students receive a high-quality technical education that equips them with the skills needed to succeed in their careers and contribute to their communities".
