David Catherman, a student in the HVACR program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC), is practicing wiring a thermostat as part of his hands-on training in the program. Students learn about the different colored wires and their primary functions, including which wire controls heating, cooling, fan operation, and power supply, as well as how to correctly identify and connect these wires to the appropriate terminals on the thermostat, based on the standard color coding system. David is also EPA and 608 certified. CCCTC is proud to highlight the talents and accomplishments of its students.
