Students in the Carpentry and Building Construction program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) are gaining valuable hands-on experience by framing floors for storage sheds they plan to construct later this year. Through this project, students apply a wide range of skills, including accurate measuring, precise cutting, effective layout planning, and strict adherence to building codes. They also practice reading blueprints, safely operating power tools, constructing durable joints with nails and screws, checking for levelness, and calculating load-bearing requirements. These essential skills come together to ensure the creation of sturdy and well-built floor structures.
The CCCTC takes pride in showcasing the talents and achievements of its students. To learn more about the center and its programs, visit us at www.ccctc.edu.
