Clearfield County Career and Technology Center's (CCCTC) Masonry Construction student, Mason Reams, from Clearfield, recently completed the challenging task of constructing brick pillars. Building these pillars is one of the most demanding skills to master, with keeping them plumb and maintaining consistent mortar joints being the biggest obstacles. Our sophomore students are currently learning to construct pillars of various sizes, with the smallest ones proving to be the most difficult to build. It's impressive to see their progress as they refine their craft!
