CCCTC Digital Media Arts Morning Students Completed Photography Unit

Clearfield County Career and Technology Center’s Digital Media Arts AM students recently completed a unit on photography. Students learned how to shoot pictures in manual mode using a digital, single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera, utilizing composition techniques, then editing pictures using Adobe Lightroom. The final project of the unit was a picture taken and edited by each student, then printed and matted. 

CCCTC Announces Pumpkin Decorating Contest Winners

The Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) hosted their annual fall open house on October 28 with a successful turnout.  Students, parents/guardians, and the community were invited to visit the CCCTC to learn more about the opportunities for high school and adult students.  Students in the morning and afternoon sessions at CCCTC decorated pumpkins that were voted on by the public and the students of CCCTC.  First place winner was Drafting and Design, morning session; second place was Collision, morning session; and third place was Culinary, afternoon session.

CCCTC Practical Nursing Program Receives Continuing Accreditation

Cheryl Krieg, Nursing Program Director, has received notification that the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center’s Practical Nursing Program was recently awarded eight additional years of continuing accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing Inc. (ACEN).  A 3-day virtual visit by The ACEN reviewers took place February 15-17, 2021.  Of the 54 Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing approved Practical Nursing programs only 23 (43%) have achieved nursing accreditation through The ACEN.  The CCCTC Practical Nursing Program is proud to be one of these programs. CCCTC Information Technology Students Increase Storage on Computers by Installing Extra Hard Drives

Students in the Information Technology program at the Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) are currently mastering their skill of installing a second internal hard drive to computers in the program.  This method increases storage space on computers, allowing use of extremely large files.
